The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) held its tenth Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010 (CSA 2010) public listening session. It was presented as a webcast in two parts:

The 2008 CSA 2010 Listening Session took place on October 16, 2008, at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, VA. Close to 70 participants representing industry, associations, law enforcement and government convened to hear CSA 2010 Team Leaders, including then FMCSA Administrator John H. Hill, give presentations about CSA 2010 and the following aspects of the initiative:

  During the Listening Session presentations, participants had the opportunity to comment and give feedback regarding CSA 2010. Comments regarding the Listening Session were also collected via the Federal Docket Management System through January 31, 2009, in response to the Federal Register Notice that was published September 16, 2008.

The purpose of the December 2007 listening session was for FMCSA to brief its stakeholders on the progress made with CSA 2010 since the listening session in 2006 and collect stakeholders’ feedback.

The purpose of the 2006 listening session was to inform the public on the conceptual direction and progress of CSA 2010, and to obtain feedback from its partners and stakeholders.

In 2005, six listening sessions were conducted across the country, allowing participants to attend conveniently within their geographical area. The Listening Sessions were attended by a diverse collection of industry stakeholders, ranging from company representatives to drivers, national enforcement agencies to local enforcement agencies, and associations to various third parties
